Day 10 - Closing day
July 29, 2008
Closing day was a very, very long one. We started at 11 p.m. as usual and we, you, they didn't stop until past 2 p.m. the next day. Hardcore to the max baby! BallRoom was booming with Jonasty, Poni Hoax, Shit Robot and of course Ghent's very own The Glimmers, while the Bacardi Room went apeshit on Cosy Mozzy vs. Montevideo, Simian Mobile Disco, Dr. Lektroluv and Maxim Lany. The closing party went down at the Young Talent Bar, where Borat & Tom Derie, Pilooski and finally Nils Holgerffun kept the bodies moving like there was no tomorrow. But like the guys at the Portland Studios said, tomorrow is now, kids and 10 Days Off 2008 is over. It has been quite a ride once again, and we would like to thank you, the people for showing up and creating the great atmosphere this event is known for, the artists for the wonderful music, K+F for creating this year's image, the journalists and photographers for sharing your views on 10 Days Off with the rest of the world, and of course our partners at Vooruit, S.M.A.K., the Flemish Government, the City of Ghent and the Ghent festival, Fisheye, Philippo Showlights, SLM, Tailormate, Humo, Studio Brussel, Jim, De Morgen, Pure FM, La Deux, MCM, Tsugi, Focus Vif, DJSounds.com, Poppunt/Young Talent Corner, Beatport, Netlog, Eastpak, Pioneer, The White Island, Red Bull Music Academy, Maes, William Lawson's and Bacardi without whose support and collaboration none of this would be possible. We're off for a couple of days of comatose sleep, only to start working as from next week on the new season of our weekly concert and club nights at Petrol in Antwerp (opening on Thursday, August 14th with the Radio Centraal party), and of course next year's editon (number 15!) of 10 Days Off.

Lost and found

Several items have been found all over the building, left there by their (unaware?) owners: a couple of T-shirts, some sweatshirts, vests, a mobile phone, loads of keys, bank cards, identity cards, a Saturn gift card, a SIS card, a blood type card, a wallet and a beer glass wrapped in a newspaper. Yes, you read it right! Day 08 is sold out
